In our Gilbert Generations room, you’ll find many items and artifacts donated by the descendants of some of Gilbert’s earliest prominent families. As you wander around the room, you’ll learn about the pioneering spirit of the families that shaped Gilbert's history, and recognize the names that still influence our town today.
Take a moment to look at the toys, games, clothes, quilts and linens you’ll see on display, much of it dating from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Explore the many old photographs and newspaper clippings that offer an insight into the lives of these pioneering families as they shaped Gilbert’s past.
This exhibit, previously known as the Families Room, will be officially opened as the Generations Room on Memorial Day, 2011.
