Our Location
Located on the SW corner of Gilbert and Elliot Roads in the heart of downtown Gilbert, the Gilbert Historical Museum forms a vibrant cornerstone of the town’s Heritage District.
Our accessible location in the center of Gilbert means we sit at the heart of the East Valley; communities like Chandler, Mesa, Tempe and Sun Lakes are all within a short 20 minute drive. In fact, just a couple of miles south of the US 60, we’re easy to get to from the entire Phoenix Metro area, so why not stop by?
Our building, built in 1913 to house the original Gilbert Elementary School, has a
rich history
of its own; you’ll find it on the National Register of Historic Places. Now home to a rich collection of artifacts and
exhibits
that detail Gilbert's history, we’ve been welcoming guests to our museum since 1982.
We hope to see you soon.
